Thanks so much for this heads-up. I hadn’t heard of this yet. This sounds like something not only I will enjoy, but will enjoy watching with my grandson. He is fasinated by the human body and how it works. This sounds like a wonderful way to get him interested in the animal world as well. And if there’s something icky and gross, so much the better! He’ll be glued to the TV.

Rochelle, As you write, you bring the reader into the scene, and one can actually see what you describe… I, for one, certainly plan to be rivited to my couch on Sunday.. that’s my plan… but if I can’t, my DVR will be set, just in case.

Great idea about the caches. A good GPS makes this alot of fun and you can get them pretty cheap now. Is truly a great way to see an area and enjoy a treasure hunt. Great story. Keep it up.

Your post was so much fun, and it also told a story about the wide variety of duties for which a volunteer is responsibl. And then there is the hint of all the surprises on the job . . . like the comment about protecting your toes, even in those great Keens!

I was most surprised by my response at the end of my read . . . a strong longing to volunteer at my own zoo . . . except that it is 60 miles away from my house. You are fortunate to have a wild-animal place to call “your own”, and the Houston Zoo is VERY fortunate to have you as one of their devoted team members.

I think the uniform is great! I don’t think I’ve ever seen you in anything that’s suited you more. And now when you come home and your feet hurt, it’s not because of stylist heels but because you’ve put in a long, hard, honest day and made a difference to some people and some animals. Sorry, but you just can’t do that in Jimmy Choos.
