About Kelly Russo
Common Name: Kelly Russo
Scientific Name: Proudius TexasAggius
Range: Houston, TX
Diet: Pizza, Dr Pepper and chocolate
Natural History: Kelly grew up in the very small South Texas town of San Perlita (population 500) and graduated high school in a class of a whopping 15 students. After graduating from Texas A&M University, Kelly began work at the Houston Zoo as an Apprentice ZooKeeper. However, it was soon apparent that her passion for communication and all things internet would eventually lead her to her current position of Director of Interactive Marketing. Now her days are filled with managing the Zoo’s website and surfing Facebook (for work, honest).
Kelly is also actively involved with several conservation organizations such as the International Rhino Foundation and is a member of the IUCN Tapir Specialist Group Steering Committee.
