Name: Tusker (Tusker is the name of a Kenyan beer with a cute elephant on the label. I always thought it would make a great name for a zoo animal, plus it reminds me of my amazing zoo trip to Kenya).
Vital Stats: Tusker is a 2 year old Anatolian Shepherd dog, born in Missouri and came to the zoo at about 12 weeks old. He has several brothers and sisters, including Taji.
Interests: Napping, barking, playing with Taji, visiting his friends around the zoo
Tusker is stubborn and protective, which are true Anatolian traits. He prefers stage presentations to meet and greet encounters so we schedule his appearances accordingly.

It’s sooo good to see you so nice and big like your brother Eisen. I heard so many things about you when you just got there and now I can’t hardly believe that it’s you…that same puppy that I saw when you were 8-10 weeks old…please say “hello” to your sister.

Being a brand new pet owner I appreciate all the ideas here. I would like my puppy to get effectively trained and have a wholesome environment to live in. I am grateful for the info.
I read that the female Anatolian moved with the cheetahs. What happened to Tusker?
Tusker went back to the breeder that we got him from. He is a great dog, but did not seem to enjoy his role here at the zoo. While we miss him a lot, he is much happier there, living out in the country with a great family and lots of animals.
