		<description>Actually no although their plates are made of condensed hair. They are in a different order, family and genus. At one time Pangolins were classified with various other orders, for example Xenarthra, which includes the ordinary anteaters, sloths, and the similar-looking armadillos but genetic evidence has seperated them recently.</description>
