Our town, Jefferson ,Texas, is attaching a large number of bat habitats on an abandoned r.r. tressle over a shallow bayou that in low water periods is stressed by nitrates. Wouldn't it be better to place the habitat away from the water since bat guano is so high in nitrates and phospates? There seemes to be nothing in the design to catch or recover the guano.
